The Hytera P60 is one of many rugged PoC radio devices with many stand out features. But what are its key features in comparison to others?

3.5 inch touchscreen
This touchscreen may not seem like anything special as the majority of rugged PoC radio devices have touchscreens, however this one works with gloves. This can benefit many industries who wear gloves in their day-to-day jobs. This can include:
• Construction: Workers wearing protective gloves can easily operate the Hytera P60 touchscreen, maintaining safety while communicating efficiently in demanding construction environments.
• Manufacturing: The glove-friendly touchscreen on the Hytera P60 lets manufacturing workers keep protective gloves on, maintaining safety while operating the device.
• Engineering: Engineering workers can safely keep their protective gloves on while using the responsive touchscreen of the Hytera P60.
There are many other industries that will benefit from this therefore it isn’t limited.

Making calls and sending messages
By being able to make calls and send messages on the Hytera P60, you are able to combine features of a mobile phone and a two-way radio into one. With this, people are able to make calls and send messages which could include private information, one-to-one calls and sharing of specific details. This means that you wont need to carry a phone and a radio at the same time!
It can also be beneficial for noisy environments. If you need to get information across, instead of trying to speak to someone you can send them an instant message. This will make communication easier throughout the workplace.
Adding important tabs to the home screen

Its important to have the most efficient way to communicate and by having the most important tabs on your home screen, this is possible.

To your home screen you can add:
• Custom private calls
• Immediate group video calling
• Instant group messaging
• Quick calls
And a variety of other tabs depending on your personal preference. By being able to have these features, communication will ultimately be faster and much more reliable.

Slide to record switch
On the left-hand side of the device, there will be a switch to record videos. This switch is great for instant video recording for evidence capture if something is to happen. The camera quality is very good (8MP) so evidence will be clear at all times. Here is some footage captured to show the quality:

Push to Talk Button
Having a push-to-talk button is very effective. This is because, you can have instant communication between one person or a whole group of people at once. This can be used in urgency or just in general depending on the situation. In comparison to calling or messaging, this is more beneficial for those who require instant contact with one another.

IP68 rating
The P60 has an overall IP rating of 68. The “6” in IP68 means the device is completely dust tight. The “8” indicates the device can withstand immersion in water (typically deeper than 1 meter for a specified time).

This means that this device has greater durability in tough conditions as well as increased reliability in critical situations. Therefore this can result in a lower maintenance and replacement cost if used in the right environments.

Emergency Button
An emergency button is crucial on a rugged PoC radio device as there are many benefits that come alongside it. Its beneficial for lone workers as they are able to keep safe knowing that they can instantly send out an alert if they are in an emergency. There is no need to rely on phone calls to get help as the response is instant therefore there will be greater reliability.
